audacity

The Audacity provides a seamless fusion of dance songs to get even the most determined party-pooper dancing!

Hailing from London and the southern counties they will have you foot stompin', hand clappin', bum shakin', and hip swayin', to some of the great classics from the 60’s right through to the Coldplay, Clean Bandit or Pharrell Williams songs of today.

Having played some prestigious venues in the South including The Grove (Hertfordshire) and for many companies including Virgin, Jeff Maysh (Cosmopolitan, The Guardian, The New York Post etc.) recently said "Do not miss The Audacity - in my opinion, The Audacity are definitely one of the best function bands on the circuit today".

hannah dorman

British singer songwriter Hannah Dorman brings her unique style to the genre. With the emphasis on Pop Rock, there’s an occasionally dusting of Country to be heard. Lyrically mature, honest and relatable, Hannah delivers her songs with her distinct raw vocal power and a personable presence. This dedicated singer will draw you in with catchy melodies and a driven rhythm section.

Her inspiration and eclectic influences are not obvious but some give resonance to her music. With early Kelly Clarkson as her main influence, The Pretty Reckless, KT Tunstall, Shania Twain, and Anastasia, all have their place.

"Very good for a new artist, do keep me updated" George Ergatoudis, Head of Music, Radio 1 "Good to hear someone so young touching on Country Music, definitely one to watch." Malcolm Prince (Producer, Paul O'Grady, Graham Norton) Radio 2

noble jacks

Noble Jacks are a rip-roaring Alt-Folk band with roof raising energy and whose warm electro-acoustic interactions fuse together with a mixture of upbeat folky footstompin' rhythms and engaging lyricism. The band encompasses heartfelt, yet up-tempo songs showcasing fiddle, blues harmonica and big anthem top lines.

Booked up largely by word of mouth, Noble Jacks perform a diversity of gigs with their rip roaring, foot stomping music lending itself well to lively bars, such as Molly Malone’s on the Brighton strip, clubs and festivals. That said, the band have also performed more unconventional gigs such as Roger Dean’s (Yes & Asia artwork) birthday in Lewes, August 2014.

As an unsigned band, Noble Jacks have managed the release of their own self written and produced debut single ‘Reason to Stay’, which subsequently featured several times as BBC Introducing track of the day. More recently, ‘The Blacksmith Stomp’ has proved to be a popular party piece, written for the band’s supportive and rowdy blacksmith/ farrier friends! A live performance of this song, featuring on-stage foot stomping from the farriers, was captured at Trinity Theatre and is viewable on YouTube.

iolar

Iolar are a collection of multi-talented musicians from the UK south coast, playing and entertaining audiences with harmonious tones of new and traditional folk with brushes of country and a touch of bluegrass.

Playing some of their own compositions intertwined with songs from the Levellers, Jake Bugg, Seth Lakeman, Mumford & Sons, Ben Howard, Lumineers amongst several others. Beautiful harmonies, a lovely violin weaving its way through the poignant lyrics sung by Marcus Jones, you’ll love this band making their first and very welcome performance at Loxwood.

Iolar have played several festivals across the South and can be seen occasionally in local hostelries in one of their favourite places, Arundel.

“I found a couple of new acts who I’ll be keeping a keen eye on in particular - including fab French-Canadian band De Temps Antan and local act Iolar” Kimberley Barber on Wickham Festival

half hour hotel

Half Hour Hotel are an English Indie rock band formed in Brighton in the Winter of 2011. The name derived from a farcical argument over many, many weeks.

HHH comprise Dave McCormack with impassioned lead vocals and keys, Lewis Adams with swirling guitar, David Jackson-Mayo on drums and the bass of Rob Francis driving a tight rhythm to their own growing catalogue of well-versed numbers. Occasional covers complete the picture to a real up and coming band.

They have recently released their Lanterns EP on Apple Music and play several festivals and major music venues across the south. They have supported The Boxer Rebellion, Turin Brakes and Chris André amongst others and indeed they are a welcome return to Loxwood having played here a couple of years ago.

Many people were keen to see them back so don’t miss out on this band as they will bring an urgency and a freshness to the stage and set a great tone for the evening ahead!

throbbin hood

Well what can we say! The guys have been together for just over 16 years although the core of the band has been going for about 22 years!!

A regular at Loxwood and a firm favourite with the crowd, indeed they are one of the ‘founding’ bands. Mostly all mad, great musicians and they’ll make the very most of every inch of the stage.

Throbbin Hood have played most venues across Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire and several further afield. From the main ballroom of the Brighton Metropole Hotel to the many homes and estates of the rich and famous, they have done it all! One minute you’ll be dancing to something from the 60’s and the next minute it will be a more current chart number.

Watch out for changing lyrics, dodgy dancing, and silly faces in amongst loads of material you all know and love.

Dancing is just something you do with this band…they pretty well demand it and you just can’t resist. Don’t be fooled though these boys can play…with a great rhythm section and fabulous twin guitars all hung together by a man with a unique guitar you’ve just got to love em’

Get a round of drinks in and get down to the front…it’s dancing all the way through 'til late now!

synthony 101

The 80s – probably the last golden era of great pop songs. People who grew up during the 80s want to party to the sounds of their youth. Their children grew up listening to, and loving, those same sounds. Even now, 30 years on, everyone wants to hear those classic songs, as illustrated by the sheer number of 80s artists who are currently touring and releasing new music. The demand for the 80s has never been greater.

Formed in 1999, Synthony 101 specialise in cover versions of songs from this golden era.

Two talented vocalists, Dave and Hayley, backed up by songs that have been meticulously re-created by keyboard players Antony and Sean, Synthony 101 offer a diverse range of styles that is rarely matched by other bands. The band never fails to deliver a barnstorming set that is guaranteed to get any crowd up on its feet, dancing and singing along to classics by some of the biggest artists of the 80s, including:

A-ha, The Bangles, Blancmange, Blondie, Communards, Taylor Dayne, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Eurythmics, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Human League, Japan, Katrina & the Waves, Madonna, New Order, Gary Numan, OMD, Simple Minds, Soft Cell, Spandau Ballet, Tears For Fears, Tiffany, Ultravox, U2, Visage, Kim Wilde, and Yazoo.

A new band to the stage of Loxwood who will capture the essence of a fantastic period in music.
